This pandemic has had detrimental effects on children. Not only academically but physically, emotionally, and socially too. Unfortunately, school is sometimes the safest place for them. For us, safeguarding and protecting children is the most important part of our job.
Not only do we invest in having Adrian Overs, Education Safeguarding Manager for Warwickshire County council, deliver safeguarding training to our staff annually. We have now opted for a recognised Safeguarding training provider that is to be completed online. SSS Safeguarding Training and assessment. A lot of schools are now using this, and courses are refreshed as the policies are.
Our Onside Central Team were the first to complete many of the courses with very positive feedback. Each course has a video that MUST be watched, case studies that also need to be watched, course notes that can be downloaded and used later, and then an assessment that is multiple choice. You must complete the assessment with 100% pass grade. You can then download your certificate for your personal progress file.
The courses include child protection topics, Safeguarding thematics, Safeguarding lead roles including designated safeguarding role, and other courses such as GDPR, e-safety and health and safety.
These are minimum operating standards to become a franchise owner or a member of our central team as we pride ourselves in being the highest qualified and professional people in our field.
